What is Pentosan Polysulfate?
Pentosan polysulfate sodium is a semi-synthetic sulfated polysaccharide. Oral PPS (Elmiron) is FDA-approved for interstitial cystitis. Subcutaneous compounded forms are used off-label for joint and connective-tissue indications.
