How to use this calculator
  1. 1. Vial — the peptide amount printed on the vial, in milligrams.
  2. 2. BAC water — the bacteriostatic water added to the vial. More water means a lower concentration and a larger, easier-to-read draw.
  3. 3. Dose — the single dose being measured, in milligrams.
  4. 4. Syringe — the barrel being drawn into. The diagram rescales to that syringe, so the same dose sits at a different mark on a 0.3 mL barrel than on a U-100.

Concentration
vial mg ÷ BAC mL

The peptide mass divided by the BAC water volume gives the concentration in mg per mL of solution.

Volume per dose
dose mg ÷ concentration

Divide your target dose by the concentration to get the volume of solution that contains that dose.

Syringe units
volume × syringe scale

A U-100 insulin syringe reads 100 units per mL; a U-40 reads 40 units per mL. Barrel capacity matters as well as scale: a 0.3 mL barrel holds 30 units end to end, 0.5 mL holds 50, and 1 mL holds 100. Where a dose needs more than the barrel takes, the diagram flags it rather than drawing past the end, so the options are a larger syringe, more BAC water, or splitting the dose across two draws.
